Privacy Policy
This policy explains what the iPhone game ECO (“the app”), published by Javier Mata (“we”), does with information. In short: ECO has no accounts and we do not run our own servers that collect your data. Third-party services we use for ads, purchases and leaderboards process some information, as described below.
What stays on your device
Your scores, settings (sound, haptics, tilt), amber balance, power-ups, unlocked fireflies and ad counters are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them. We do not receive them.
If you turn on Tilt, ECO reads your phone’s motion sensor to steer the firefly. The readings are used in real time on the device and are never stored or sent anywhere. Daily-cave reminders are generated on your device.

Your choices
- Tracking. ECO asks for permission to track you across apps once, after a few games. You can say no and still play; ads will be less personalized. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Consent. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or another region that requires it, a consent form from Google appears before ads load, and you can adjust your choices from it.
- No ads. Purchasing “No ads”, the Founder pack or ECO+ removes interstitial ads. Rewarded ads are always optional.
- Advertising identifier. You can reset it in iOS Settings.
Children
ECO is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their information. Ads are restricted to content suitable for general audiences with parental guidance.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA or Mexico’s LFPDPPP), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data. Since we do not hold your data ourselves, the most direct way is through the providers above, but you can also write to us at [email protected] and we will help you with your request.
Retention and security
Data on your device is kept until you delete the app. Providers keep data according to their own policies. We rely on the security measures of Apple, Google and RevenueCat; no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app.
